October 16, 2026
11:00 am
Cliff Hollins Riding School, Bradford, BD4 6RQ
The programme is perfect for complete beginners. We intentionally keep the group size small to ensure everyone gets the support they need. Each session includes about 20 minutes of stable management and horse care, which is a great way to gradually get comfortable and build a relationship with the horses in a safe environment before you get into the saddle.
Our next programme begins on Friday 16th October and is designed as an introduction to horse riding in a small, supportive group.
Programme Details
Start Date: Friday 16th October
Time: 11am–12pm every Friday
Venue: Cliff Hollins Riding School, East Bierley, Bradford, BD4 6RQ
Cost: £120 for the full 4-week programme
The sessions will combine practical horse care with time in the saddle. Each session will typically include approximately 20 minutes of horse care and stable management, followed by up to 35 minutes of riding. Riding may take place in the arena or, where appropriate, on hacks within the local community.
The programme is suitable for beginners and is designed to help participants develop their riding skills, confidence and understanding of horse care. Everyone who completes the programme will receive a certificate of completion.
Equipment & Safety
All necessary riding equipment is provided by Club Ekta, and participants will be covered by the appropriate insurance for the programme.
You are welcome to bring your own riding helmet; however, it must meet current BHS riding hat standards.
For the welfare and safety of our horses, please note that the maximum rider weight is 85kg.
Horse welfare and participant safety will always come first. Occasionally, weather or riding conditions may mean that it is not suitable to ride. If this happens, the session will still go ahead and will focus on stable management, horse care and practical equine skills.
Booking Your Place
Places are extremely limited, with a maximum of just 6 participants in the group.
Please note that payment is non-refundable.
Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so we recommend booking early to secure your place as soon as possible if you would like to join us.
Please aim to arrive 5–10 minutes before the session starts. This will give you enough time to check in, get your riding helmet fitted and be ready for an 11am start.
Please come dressed appropriately for horse riding and the weather:
• Long trousers or leggings – please avoid shorts or skirts
• Sturdy, closed-toe footwear, ideally boots / wellies with a small heel
• Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely
• A waterproof jacket/layers if the weather requires it
Please bear in mind that you’ll be spending time around the yard and horses, so clothing and footwear may get muddy or dirty.
Riding helmets will be provided. If you would prefer to bring your own helmet, it must comply with current BHS riding hat standards.
Each week will include a combination of horse riding and horse care/stable management, giving you the opportunity to develop confidence both in and out of the saddle.
Depending on conditions and your progress, riding may take place in the arena or out on a local hack.
As always, horse welfare and participant safety come first. If weather or conditions mean riding cannot safely take place, the session will continue with practical horse care and stable management activities.
We’re really excited to welcome our new group and hope you enjoy the next four weeks with Ekta Equestrians!
