Our Story

We began with a simple weekly meet-up in a local park in 2021, when a small group of girls came together just to play football. What started as a casual kickabout quickly sparked something deeper — a shared need for connection, movement, and a safe space where women could truly be themselves.

As more women joined, we began offering fitness sessions in school halls, community centres, and council leisure facilities. But it wasn’t always easy — finding accessible, consistent spaces for women-only activities came with constant challenges. Despite the setbacks, the energy and passion of our growing community kept us going.

In 2025, we found a home. Club Ekta moved into its own base at Cedar Court Hotel Bradford — a dedicated space where our members could come together for fitness, wellbeing, and friendship, without compromise.

From humble beginnings in a park to hosting daily classes, wellness events, and creative workshops, Club Ekta has grown into a movement rooted in unity, empowerment, and joy.

“Ekta” means unity — and that’s what we continue to build, one class, one connection, and one community at a time.
